Roots

Gra and Pa (Jamaican grandparents) left this past Sunday.  Very sad as I left last Saturday, even if it was for the beach.  Well, one morning I was having breakfast with Pa and he told me the family history of how he had to escape Jamaica before it turned downhill. He had to take his family away from a more than comfortable lifestyle and come to America.  He was hardly allowed any money to take along with is wife and five children.  It was a tough decision at the time, but later it payed off to be the right one as Jamaica crashed. His life advice to me was this: At any time in my life I shouldn't be afraid to make decisions. I can't make a wrong decision because either way it will lead me down a new path that leads who knows where. So don't have regrets, only stick with your decision even if it doesn't seem to pay off. It might not for 15 years or more.  Be happy and have no regrets!
