Rastafari journeying begins

I've always wanted to think of my self as a Rastafari. I mean, it's in my blood! Mom and her Dad born in Jamaica, plus more. The thing is I only casually researched it and vaguely understood or believed it. Change now though! I'm reading more and more on it all the time and the language as well. So I will be incrporating that language into my blogs soon. My findings as well.

My start:  Ital, meaning clean and earthly eating. This is very pure. No salt, proccessed foods, alcohol, pork, shell fish, bottom feeders, alcohol; really vegetarian or vegan is very well accepted here. Very much vegetables are eaten! Our body is a temple of Jah, it must be shown respect.

Sometimes, I just need something to make me smile. Animals can always cheer me up, even if they are only pictures. Just seeing something so real and sweet helps.

Look at that breakfast face! What a treat to dine with him! Well that's kind of sad actually.. becuase I dined ON him.. I mean, I ate him :0  Can you really blame me though? He was a delicious sandwich of oatnut bread, cheesy omlet, and veggie sausage. Washed down with a glass of fortified, pulp free, OJ. I'm a kid about pulp, I just never grew to like it!

Volunteer

Volunteering at Goodwill is an intersting experience every day. The people that work, shop, and volunteer there are from all walks of life! The head cashiers are always very friendly. We have customers that visit every single day, without fail! One of the older men sometimes sits at the front of the store and plays guitar. The people that work in the back are outgoing and welcoming. And each volunteer has their own life story behind why they are there. Every day is a different experience. It's kind of enjoyable.
