Another Trip!

I have a couple of meals to udate on since I was out of town all weekend!

Yes, that is a slice of pizza with scrambled eggs, spinach, and red bell peppers on top of it. My own form of Quiche for the people without pie dishes or pie crusts or that much time! Very yummyyyy!

A toasted bagel with tuna, onions, tomatoes and cheese on top. I got to eat all of it this time without the help of Halloween; although, I discover that she loves, loves, loves cheese pizza! She fits in well on a college campus :)

Until I get home to let her inside so she can snuggle in my bed with me!

This whole weekend I had to leave my kitty behind while I went four hours away to a big city with four other knotty dreaded friends. We stayed in a Dreadies casa too! Saw Tribal Seeds play and immediatly after saw Excision. Whoa! Also, another trip was made to the big tree.

Stray Kitty

This is the story of the little kitty that follows me around my apartment on campus. The island is populated with all sorts of kitties and animals. This one chose me, and I love her! I named her Halloween. The beginning: I received a letter from a friend that made me very sad and teary-eyed. As I'm sitting on the stairs outside the apartments Halloween comes along and climbs into my lap, comforting me. Every day since then she is outside when I come home from class. Today the weather was so beautiful the doors were left open, so Halloween came inside.

She loved it and I fed her a little tuna. She hung around while I made my own lunch:

... And I found her in my bed as cozy as can be! The little trickster. So we go out in the living room and she is happily chasing a bee around when it gets stuck behing the blinds. I lift the blinds and Halloween loses interest so I proceed to get a towel and whip the now multiple bees. When that task is finished I turn around and she is...

...demolishing the rest of my sandwich! She took the top half and consumed all the bread and tuna left, plus some of the chips....

I have to say that this definitely made my whole weekkk! I love herrr :)

She is currently in my bed preening herself like the little princess she is.



Dinnaa

Last nights dinner was whole grain bread with ketchup, mozarella cheese, lettuce, spinach, tomato and a Boca no meat chicken burger:)

Wheat tortillas warmed in the oven topped with my very own fresh made guacamole, veggie bacon (that's the pink stuff), and a chopped up Hot Dang grain burger. This is by farrrr one of my favorite things I've cooked! Yum-o to the maximum!!

Oh and for dessert: vanilla lactose free ice cream (I'm against the milk industry) topped with toasted honey cashews :o :)

Home is...

Home is what I miss. This weekend I finally ventured there! So many things happened and it was all beautiful. I caught up with two of my older brothers, my little sister, my parents, my grandparents, some old friends and of course my kitty cats! I took my mom's 30 year old bike to get fixed up - I'll get it over Spring Break. I got a new skateboard, but with some bigger cruising wheels so I can manage the harsh territory of the campus parking lots. I ate sushi and made guacamole dip. I got my car stuck in a muddy ditch and had pizza and beer. I had a grand time! Now I'm back at the beach living it up!

First meal I've cooked in a while. I took a road trip this past weekend from Friday to Sunday night. Hill country is where me and three crazy boys took off too sporadically! What a trip ;) Skateboarding, the capital building of Texas, the Moontower from Dazed and Confused, rain, free sake, beer, magics, Janis Joplin's memory, mountain climbing, tree climbing, remember Goliad, the oldest tree in Texas, and of course the conversations between it all!
